Jon and Colleen then headed to Jon's parents' house in Barrington, NH, to meet up with our friend Brian, who would be going with us to the race the next day. We talked about who was on our fantasy teams 'cause we're just like that and we also took great pleasure in watching the late news in three TV markets, the highlight of which was a Portland broadcaster calling NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer (Boy-er) Clint Bower (rhymes with Harvard with a Boston accent.) (Ironically, Colleen had seen a large cutout out of Clint Bowyer earlier that day in the Chicago Midway Airport.) --POSTED BY COLLEEN
Jon and Colleen are the Traveling Pumas. They share a passion for NASCAR, road trips and NASCAR road trips. Their adventures on the road of life with their Shetland Sheepdog Regan make up this thoroughly entertaining blog.

This time it was Colleen making the plane trip - for the Lenox 301 in Loudon, NH, where in just one day they would be going the extra mile. After Jon picked Colleen up at the Manchester Boston Regional Airport and they sought out a mini golf course, where you got to pick your ball color out of a machine by hitting a corresponding button. You could also go with the very Riddler-esque "?", which is how Colleen got her ball. The course also featured blue water and fishing nets, like their favorite course in Richmond. This was also probably the only mini golf course in history where you didn't automatically lose your ball on the last hole. They're trusting, those New Englanders. This was followed up by quite possibly the best ice cream ever at a place where they've gotten awards that say they have the best ice cream ever. After running into wannabe documentary makers outside the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester and "no fouling" signs at a local park, Jon and Colleen made the trip to Concord, NH, to meet up for Mexican with her friends Dan and Lisa, also in town for the race. It was great to see them!
