August 1, 2011

This morning Regan and Darby had a ball running up and down the ramp in Kiki's backyard. Later in the morning, we paid a visit to the cemetery to see the Casey family plots, got really good orange and white twist soft-serve ice cream, and then headed to Presque Isle State Park, stopping along the way to the beach at Perry's Monument and some lighthouses. While in the car, we discovered a mutual love for The Glee Project contender Damien McGinty of Celtic Thunder fame.

The beach was great. In a lot of ways it was just like the ocean because there were a lot of waves (they later made swimmers move in closer to shore and away from the waves), but it was missing the ocean's salt (not that we minded, of course).

After dinner at Eat'n Park (Smiley Cookies!) and some spirited rounds of Wrestlemania (and Regan's first game of tug-of-war with another dog), we headed to bed to rest up for tomorrow's visit to Water World and the drive to Arkport. -- POSTED BY COLLEEN
