Bills, Bucs and Bells - December 14, 2008

Sunday we headed out early to get to the Bills-Jets game at the Harp. I had no idea what to expect, as I never knew there were Bills fans who lived in Boston. It was like entering another world. But I was quickly put at ease when I got to hear my favorite accent in the whole wide world - the sharp Western New York accent. "Hey Jahn!"

The Bills gave me hope early, but quickly left all of us disappointed by giving away the lead in the fourth quarter. The spicy chicken tenders were awesome.. thanks to Colleen and Kelson for giving me the extra water. I really needed it. Kelson again surprised us with some hysterical commentary. For example, Kelson telling Colleen, "You look better than the last time I saw you." - Classic Kelson, we love you!!!

The Bills lost, which was sad, but the Tampa Bay Bucs also lost, so we were able to commiserate at the NECN holiday party with our good friend Brian. His favorite team still can make the playoffs, but needs some help. The party was great, it was slow at first, but we had good company - even if a few folks at the table acted like they never had met before in their lives. Hello people, you work together!!??!!

The food was ok. It's always a bit too fancy, but there was a greater selection this year. While Colleen was rather disappointed with the selection, I was most displeased with the fact that there were no napkins, only small squares that probably should have been for drink holders. Oh well, a great time was had by all.
