Celtics vs. Hornets - December 12, 2008

Our weekend adventure began with picking Colleen up at the airport. She looked like she could use a little jolt, so we made sure to stop by the giant coffee cup inside the airport terminal. Colleen didn't know what was in store for the evening, so we braved through Boston traffic without trying to give away any secrets. My good friend Kevin helped us on the phone several times with directions... and we eventually madeour way to the T. I thought all the people wearing Celtics gear and the kid sitting across from us with a foam Celtics finger would give it away. Luckilly Colleen was distracted by the kid's little sister - maybe 6 years old - quickly thumbing through selections in her very own iPod - kids these days! :-)

We arrived at the Celtics game and Colleen was thrilled with her surprise. I was very happy when she became ecstatic to see Chris Paul. Who knew that such a moderate star could elicit such a reaction? Thanks CP3. We sat next to some of my brother's friends - who were quite entertaining - particularly when critizing Mr. White Shirt. "Didn't he tell you, he's an assistant coach. He just doesn't like sitting on the bench." Classic!
We thoroughly enjoyed all the dancing celtics fans on the fan cam, but none of them could hold a candle to the prissy, done-up hottie in the fashion hatwho seemed unimpressed when she discovered she was on the jumbotron. Boo hoo to you too little lady. Keep dreaming that Tom Brady will love you instead of Gisele.

The Garden seemed to be a big hit, and I'm glad that the surprise worked out. We trekked back through the cold to our parking garage and enjoyed Christmas tunes the rest of the evening.
